Montgomery man charged in Mississippi bomb threats

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A Montgomery man is facing a federal charge after being accused of making bomb threats in Mississippi.

According to court records, Claude Henry Bates Jr. is charged with transmitting a threat in interstate commerce.

Investigators said on Sept. 25, the Jackson County, Mississippi coroner’s office received a phone call from someone claiming a bomb had been placed under the coroner’s vehicle…
