14 Virginia schools exit state improvement status, including 6 in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Fourteen Virginia schools have exited state improvement status, including six Richmond schools, according to Wednesday’s results released by the state’s Department of Education (VDOE).

The VDOE released its fall 2026 statewide school performance and support framework results the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 7, with schools increasing their overall scores by four to five points on average.
