Fort Bend ISD adopts new school boundaries for several middle and high schools

The FBISD school board approved attendance boundary changes that will affect where nearly 2,000 students will attend school in 2027-28.

Hundreds of students and families across several middle and high schools in Fort Bend ISD will be attending a different school next year after FBISD trustees approved changes to the district’s boundaries on Monday.

School officials for the sixth-largest school district in Texas proposed the 2027-28 boundary changes, they said, in order to align middle school feeder patterns amid declining enrollment and three overcrowded high schools, particularly Stephen F. Austin in Sugar Land, Elkins in Missouri City and Travis in Richmond.
