Sandy Richter is a gardening goddess to her customers.
For more than 20 years, she has sold them houseplants and flowers, vegetables and herbs, trees and shrubs while also teaching them how to keep their purchases alive.
“We’re lucky to have a place like this in Belleville,” said Patty Karfs, 67, who was shopping Monday at Sandy’s Back Porch Gardens. “There are other nurseries, but not at this level. She’s helped us all become better gardeners, and her plants are phenomenal.”…
