Hope Connections launches downtown housing initiative to clear Shreveport streets by May

SHREVEPORT, La. — A targeted homeless outreach campaign in downtown Shreveport aims to transition every unhoused person off city streets and into secure living spaces by May.

Chrrista Hawkins, executive director of Hope Connections, presented the aggressive plan, titled “Downtown to Home,” to members of the Caddo Parish Commission during a meeting Monday.
