AKRON, Ohio — Akron’s annual leaf removal program returns next month and city officials are warning residents of several changes.
Beginning this year residents are asked to place leaves on the devil strip instead of the street and the city will no longer publish start dates for individual wards.
“These changes will allow leaf removal crews to work more efficiently, cut down on repeated changes or delays to the schedule, and keep piles of leaves out of streets where they can impede traffic,” the city said in a news release…
