West Side residents tackle Fall Fest traffic

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Fall Festival comes to the west side once a year for a full week, but something that will remain are the people that live in the area.

For longtime resident Mark Lake, he turns his lot into a safe space for cars to park away from the street, but he doesn’t just do it for a quick buck.

“My wife has cancer and she has to have a hip replacement,” says Lake. “So, you know, I’ll do what I can do. I try to treat people’s vehicles with respect. I don’t stack them in like sardines, you know, and people appreciate that.”…
