City of Rincon introduces new fall tradition

RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) — The city of Rincon announced a new fall tradition that combines Oktoberfest with professional rodeo; Bucktoberfest.

The two-night event is set to take place on the evenings of Oct. 9 and 10 at Freedom Park. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the rodeo show will start at 6:30 p.m.

“Bucktoberfest brings together everything that makes fall in Georgia special—IPRA rodeo action, delicious food, cold drinks, family-friendly entertainment, and an Oktoberfest-inspired atmosphere,” a spokesperson for the city said. “Whether you’re cheering from the bleachers, enjoying local food vendors, or taking in the lively festival atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.”

The event will include:

  • IPRA professional rodeo
  • Oktoberfest beer garden
  • Food trucks
  • Local vendors
  • Family fun

Bleacher seating is included, but lawn chairs are welcome. Coolers are not allowed…
