Officer under investigation after duty belt found in her car driven by man convicted of manslaughter

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo police officer has been relieved of duty with pay while internal affairs investigate how her duty belt and other equipment ended up in the trunk of her own car, which was being driven by a man convicted of involuntary manslaughter, according to a police report obtained by 13 Action News.

The car belongs to the officer and was pulled over during a traffic stop. According to TPD’s police manual, the department has strict rules when it comes to relationships.
