District Attorney Tanner Rouse, in conjunction with the Delaware County Victim’s Assistance Center and the county’s Chamber of Commerce, announced on Tuesday, Oct.6, a new initiative designed to assist crime victims.
Called The Delaware County Victims Stability Fund, the program is designed to help county residents when they need it most.
“For example, if a person who is a crime victim needs repairs to their property or car, this fund can help,” Rouse said. “We see what victims go through every day and we know full well that often people are left to struggle on their own. We are here today to say that we have your back.”
At a press conference on the county courthouse steps, Rouse said, “This program reflects the values of this county. We are believers of the best idea rising to the top and we are believers in supporting our community.”…
