Des Moines employees of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. have contributed more than 11,800 hours of volunteer service this year as part of a company-wide effort that logged more than 100,000 hours supporting nonprofits and community causes.
The initiative was launched at the beginning of 2026 to mark Nationwide’s 100th anniversary. Employees challenged themselves to collectively volunteer 100,000 hours during the centennial year, a goal they surpassed by the end of September, according to a news release.
