ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) — More people have come forward with accusations that a north St. Louis funeral home mishandled their loved ones’ bodies following a First Alert 4 investigation.
Serenity Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services has faced three formal complaints by the Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors since 2023. The state’s allegations range from improper embalming and storage of bodies, burying a decedent without the family’s knowledge, and falsified paperwork by Serenity owner Gerald Johnson.
