ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez received an extra 30 days in jail and a stern warning after a recent DWI arrest violated his probation.
Judge Stan Whitaker gave Sanchez the additional jail time with the requirement that he must complete a drug and alcohol rehab program. This comes after police arrested Sanchez on Sept. 7 for DWI in Socorro County.
The arrest violated the five-year probation sentence Sanchez is serving for firing a gun in the middle of traffic in Albuquerque in 2025. While he avoided the possible 6.5 years in jail and avoided it again Wednesday, despite prosecutors’ wishes, Whitaker warned another violation could put that back on the table…
