County attorney returns Peoria teachers investigation to police for second time

PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has sent the case involving two former Centennial High School teachers accused of having sexual relationships with the same student back to Peoria police for further investigation.

It is the second time the office has returned the case involving Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka. Prosecutors first sent it back in early April. Peoria police resubmitted felony charges that month, but the county attorney returned the case again in August.

Former teachers Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka are accused of grooming or sending sexually explicit videos to the same student. The investigation was opened last July. No criminal charges have been filed against either woman as of this report.
