LAKEMORE — Prior to Lakemore Village Council’s final reading of an ordinance Oct. 5 confirming Mayor Richard Cole’s decision to remove village Administrator Tracy Sayers, some residents at the meeting expressed concern with the decision.
“[Sayers] is a strong asset to the village, and I think the village would be in bad shape if we don’t get her back in here,” said village resident Margaret Badgett, pointing in particular to Sayers’s success with securing grant funding for projects.
Resident Christopher Harris asked Cole if he could provide more information about his decision to terminate Sayers. Cole said the termination was related to personnel matters he is not at liberty to disclose…
