BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Parts of Battle Creek will be without water Thursday into Friday during a repair project.
City of Battle Creek Department of Public Works water crews will work to replace a 16-inch water valve along Capital Avenue Southwest.

As a result, a temporary water shut off will be in effect for Capital Avenue Southwest from Hamblin Avenue to Fountain Street.
Additionally, a temporary lane closure will be in effect along Capital Avenue Southwest:
- The southbound lane of Capital Avenue Southwest will be CLOSED to all traffic, between Hamblin Avenue and Dickman Road
- The northbound lane of Capital Avenue Southwest, between Hamblin Avenue and Dickman Road, will remain OPEN to all traffic
Water will be shut off around 6 p.m. Thursday, with water returning by midnight the same night, according to city officials.
