PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) — The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office has identified a 33-year-old woman found dead in the surf near Pawleys Island Pier on Wednesday.
Coroner Chase Ridgeway described the circumstances surrounding the death of Conway woman Meggan Jordan as “suspicious.” An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning at MUSC, and the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
