18-year-old charged in deadly Peaches Corner shooting accused of violating home detention again

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An 18-year-old charged with murder in connection with a 2025 shooting at Peaches Corner in Myrtle Beach is back in custody after allegedly violating his home detention, the Horry County Sheriff’s Office said.

Evany McCray also faces charges of assault of a high and aggravated nature, unlawful possession of a pistol, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, stemming from the June 27 killing of 18-year-old Grayson Meyers of Myrtle Beach.

McCray was released to home detention after the June incident before it was revoked because authorities found items in the home he was staying at that were prohibited as part of his release…
