BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — State leaders and nearly 100 pastors and churches gathered in Baton Rouge Wednesday for an event focused on getting more faith communities involved in supporting children and families across Louisiana.
The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services hosted “Hope Starts Here: A Faithful Home for Every Child” at Bethany Church. The event brought together church leaders, nonprofits, and state officials to discuss ways churches can support families before problems become a crisis.
