Jimmy Robbins, a fifth-generation Floridian and owner of Robbins Jewelry and Pawn Shop with his father and sister, grew up in Plant City and has worked in the gem and jewelry business for almost 40 years.
After years of driving to and from gem shows across the country, from Florida to Lebanon, Pennsylvania, or Tucson, Arizona, Robbins said he wanted to create something similar for the community he grew up in.
“I want to do more local shows,” Robbins said. “I don’t enjoy traveling all over the country, wasting days and days getting there and back when I can have local shows and make the money here and bring people here and help the economy locally. I’d much rather do that.”…
