Former Rutherford County library director sues after firing over children’s books

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Former Rutherford County Library System Executive Director Luanne James is suing the library system and its board after she was fired for refusing to move dozens of children’s books to the adult section.

James filed the federal lawsuit Sept. 23 in the Middle District of Tennessee, naming the Rutherford County Library System, its Board of Directors, and eight individual board members as defendants…
