NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – As Hurricane Isais nears the eastern Gulf Coast, evacuation orders in parts of the Florida Panhandle prompted heavy traffic and long lines at gas stations Thursday as officials urged visitors to change their vacation plans.
As of 8 p.m. Thursday, Florida’s mandatory evacuation orders included all or parts of Okaloosa, Franklin, Walton and Escambia counties. Voluntary evacuation orders were in place in Wakulla Bay and Santa Rosa counties.
