A Wichita man pleaded guilty last month in a drunken crash that killed a wheelchair-bound veteran crossing the street at 26th North and Amidon in May.
Jaime Gonzalez-Arambula, 36, is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 20 on counts of involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence in the May 9 death of 63-year-old Lawrence A. Grover of Wichita. Attorneys plan to recommend that Gonzalez-Arambula serve a prison sentence instead of probation when he is sentenced, according to his September plea agreement.
With his criminal history, he’s likely to receive around three years on the manslaughter charge and more than a year for the DUI. Both of the counts are felonies…
