SALT LAKE CITY () — Happy Thursday, Utah! High pressure remains in place across the region through Friday, bringing well-above-average temperatures and lots of sunshine to the area. Tropical moisture and a cold front will bring periods of heavy rain and cooler conditions later this weekend.

Our Thursday afternoon will bring plenty of sunshine and very warm conditions. Daytime high temperatures will warm several degrees above average. High temperatures climb into the low to mid 80s along the Wasatch Front.
High temperatures will warm back into the mid-90s for areas in southwest Utah. A little residual moisture will once again provide a few pop-up high-terrain showers during the afternoon hours. This activity will mainly stay at higher elevations.
