Alaska’s gubernatorial candidates clash in ‘Debate for the State’

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska’s four candidates for governor met Thursday night for the first of three “Debate for the State” broadcasts, live from Alaska Public Media’s Anchorage studio.

Alaska’s News Source’s political reporter Wil Courtney was on stage questioning the candidates, alongside Alaska Public Media’s Eric Stone.

The four candidates running to succeed term-limited Gov. Mike Dunleavy are Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins, a former state representative from Sitka, and three Republicans: former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, former Attorney General Treg Taylor, and Anchorage business owner and talk-show host Bernadette Wilson.
