ICE Officer Behind Shooting Of NYC Man Has History Of Alleged Violence, Illegal Arrests: Wired

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer accused of shooting a New York City driver in the neck while with a child has repeatedly been accused in federal court of unlawful and violent arrests, Wired has reported.

The agent is identified by Wired as ICE Supervisor Brenden Cuni, who’s with the agency’s National Fugitive Operations team. Cuni has been involved in several arrests in the NYC area and Minneapolis during Operation Metro Surge last winter, according to the report. These include incidents where he allegedly used a Taser on a handcuffed man, and forced a pregnant woman to the ground.

An officer with the same name was reported by the New York Daily News on Tuesday as having been involved in the violent, mistaken-identity arrests of two men in the Bronx back in May.
