PG&E warns of possible power shutoffs in parts of Bay Area

Some PG&E customers in the Bay Area could lose power Friday due to hot, dry and gusty weather.

The potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs would primarily impact a rural area south of the Altamont Pass that includes part of Livermore and unincorporated Alameda County.

PG&E has warned 386 customers in that area that they could lose electricity starting Friday afternoon and may not have power restored until noon Sunday…
