A smash burger restaurant chain from Rancho Cordova is replacing Chando’s Cantina Zazon Del Mara in the K Street shopping district downtown.
Hot Bunz signed a lease last week to operate at 730 K St., according to Dave Herrera, the broker with Colliers Sacramento. The restaurant is famous for its gourmet-style burgers and burger-eating challenge.
Herrera said the shopping complex has “a lot of energy,” adding that the restaurant will accommodate an uptick in foot traffic because of the return-to-work order for state workers.
