Springfield Church’s Gaza attacks memorial repeatedly vandalized

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Springfield church is replacing flags honoring people affected by the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks in Israel after the memorial was vandalized on two consecutive nights, with damage also reported to church vehicles.

Crossfire World Outreach Ministries says it has replaced the flags multiple times and plans to keep the memorial in place for a full week, regardless of further vandalism.

Senior Pastor Aaron Taylor said the flags were torn down and broken, with about half stolen. He also said someone cut fuel lines on certain church vehicles…
