Tarrant housing office moves to end contracts with embattled senior living community

The Tarrant County Housing Assistance Office is moving to terminate its contracts with Manor Independent Living on behalf of three military veteran tenants with vouchers after determining enough progress was not being made toward repairs, the office’s director told the Fort Worth Report on Wednesday.

The housing assistance office informed property ownership Sept. 29 that they had 24 hours to correct 14 severe, or life-threatening, deficiencies after conducting a comprehensive inspection of the building, including the exterior, common areas and the three tenants’ units…
