Homewood Man Dies in Shooting Near Two Recent Homicide Sites

A man was shot dead early Saturday on the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue in Homewood, one of three nearby homicides in less than two months. Pittsburgh police officers responded around 1 a.m. after a ShotSpotter alert registered six rounds fired, finding an adult male victim outside with multiple gunshot wounds. The Pittsburgh Police Department said officers and homicide detectives are reviewing all camera footage in the area and identifying any possible witnesses, with the investigation described as active and ongoing.
