A 39-year-old driver was taken into custody after Milwaukee police said they struck a pedestrian near 49th and Burleigh streets on Saturday. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
