BARTOW, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is sending volunteers from the county to Okaloosa County to help communities affected by Hurricane Isaias, Sheriff Grady Judd said. This includes vehicles and supplies as well.
The personnel left Bartow after a briefing and began the drive to Florida’s Panhandle. Judd said the group includes deputies and other volunteers prepared to support response efforts in areas hit by the storm.
