West Virginia will continue their 2026 football season next week, returning home for another Big 12 Conference matchup, this time against Cincinnati. It’s Sunday, and that means Vegas has put up the odds for all of the games, including the matchup against the Bearcats. The Mountaineers opened as 2.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel, and the over/under for the game is set at 62.5 points.
So far on the season, WVU is 3-3 overall and 3-3 against the spread. Against Arizona, the Mountaineers did not cover the 3.5-point spread. In Week Five, the line closed at 3.5 points, and WVU lost by three, squeaking in for the cover. In the Week Four game against Oklahoma State, the Mountaineers were slight favorites, but lost. In their win over UVA, the Mountaineers did that in spite of being 10.5-point underdogs in the game. In Week Two, the Mountaineers covered the 40.5 point spread. In Week One, the Mountaineers won, but did not cover the 20.5-point spread.
The game has gone over all six weeks, assuming you placed your bets at the right time. Games against Arizona, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Virginia easily went over the total line, while a late fumble return for a touchdown pushed the UT-Martin game over. In the opener against Coastal Carolina, the line opened at 56.5, but finished at 54.5…. while the final score landed at 55 total points…
