STERLING HEIGHTS — Police in Sterling Heights are continuing to investigate an Oct. 7 shooting that left a 41-year-old Utica man dead and no suspects in custody.
On Oct. 8, police identified the victim as Randy K. Abro and also released a photo of a vehicle in which his assailant is believed to have fled — a 2025 black Toyota 4Runner with black rims.
According to a news release, police responded to a commercially zoned area near 15 Mile Road and Mound Road around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, following a 911 call reporting gunshots.
