(WOWT) – First Alert 6 is celebrating Sports Director Clayton Collier as he brings home a national Edward R. Murrow Award for a sports feature on an Omaha who has found success as a hitting coach despite being legally blind.
Collier’s story on Mark Wetzel, called “An Eye for Hitting,” aired last November. The following May, the profile earned a regional Murrow Award for Sports Reporting; and in August, WOWT was notified that the story was among the much shorter list of national winners.
