Taylorhurst Shopping Center, the 63,164-square-foot retail strip at the northwest corner of South Hurstbourne Parkway and Taylorsville Road, has new owners. Cincinnati-based Last Mile Investments has acquired the East Louisville property and is already lining up repairs and upgrades for the long-running neighborhood center.
Before the sale closed, Taylorhurst carried a tax assessment of $13.1 million from the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator, according to Louisville Business First. Last Mile is a Cincinnati-based investment group that has made unanchored, e-commerce-resistant neighborhood retail its specialty nationwide.
Once the deal closed, Last Mile moved fast with plans for physical improvements at the property, including parking lot repairs, upgraded LED lighting, a full exterior paint refresh, and a second freestanding pylon sign, the same report notes. Those upgrades align with the firm’s broader strategy of revitalizing older strip centers rather than redeveloping them from scratch.

How quickly those remaining vacancies fill out remains an open question for the center going forward…
