Hilton, N.Y. — Organizers of the Hilton Apple Fest are warning attendees about an apparent vacation raffle scam following this year’s festival.
In a Facebook post, organizers said they received numerous reports about a Disney World trip raffle held at a commercial vendor booth during the festival, which took place Oct. 3-4.
Organizers said people who entered the raffle were later called and told they had not won the Disney World trip. The callers then offered them a different vacation package at a steep discount, but said they had to make a down payment over the phone using a credit card…
