BELLEVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) – An off-duty East St. Louis police officer was involved in a shooting that left three people wounded in Belleville on Monday, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened Monday night at an apartment in the 200 block of Freedom Drive. Police said that, based on the preliminary investigation, all three individuals who sustained gunshot wounds were involved in the incident. Investigators are not seeking any additional suspects in connection with the shooting.
