The Verde family of restaurants is bringing something sweeter to King Street. Sweet Supply Co., a colorful new candy and beverage shop at 433 King St., will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon to 5 p.m.
Founded by Verde owners Jennifer and Sam Ferrebee, Sweet Supply Co. was inspired by their family’s love of Swedish candy. What began as a fun family pastime of discovering new flavors and textures quickly became a business idea when they realized how difficult it was to find their favorite varieties in one place.
“We started buying Swedish candy because we loved discovering all the different varieties, and it became something fun we did together as a family,” Jennifer Ferrebee said. “Opening a candy store started as a joke with our kids, but the more we talked about it, the more we realized we wanted to make it happen.”…
