FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Rain is moving back into the forecast this afternoon as a cold front pushes through the region. While we’re keeping a close eye on the system, the good news is that severe weather threats (flooding and strong winds) remain extremely low.
What to Expect This Afternoon and Evening
Temperatures will continue their downward trend, with highs dropping into the low 60s this afternoon. Rain showers will develop this afternoon, starting light but becoming heavier at times. A few rumbles of thunder or flashes of lightning are possible late this evening.
Tomorrow: Wet and Windy
Rain showers will linger into Friday along with gusty winds. Off and on periods of rain are possible, coming in off of Lake Michigan. Along with it, winds will remain to gust around 30mph with an isolated gust that could reach as high as 40mph. Temperatures will drop into the 50s for tomorrow after the cold front crosses.
Weekend Outlook: Dry and Improving
As rain and wind move out, we will set up for a really nice, but cool weekend.
Saturday: Cool conditions with highs in the upper 50s. Expect clear skies and calm conditions. We have plenty of events around 21Country this weekend, so make sure to dress warm…
