HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division has received a $56 million U.S. Navy contract for shipbuilding engineering and design work supporting the Australia, United Kingdom and United States (AUKUS) partnership.
The contract includes an option that, if exercised, would increase its total value to $91 million, HII announced Oct. 13.
Under the contract’s Foreign Military Sales requirements, Newport News Shipbuilding will provide technology insertion, engineering, supply chain and workforce development support, along with digital transformation services, for the United Kingdom and Australia…
