Metairie’s newest Aldi on Veterans Memorial Boulevard officially opened its doors Thursday, taking over the spot that was previously home to Winn-Dixie.
The fast-growing discount supermarket filed permits to open at 215 Veterans Blvd earlier this year. It is the third Aldi in Metairie and 33st in the state. 28 of the chain’s stores are within southeast Louisiana.
