CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Supporters gathered in Cedar Rapids Thursday night to show support for Chris Jones, the Democratic candidate for Iowa secretary of agriculture.
Jones is running against Iowa’s current secretary of agriculture, Republican Mike Naig.
Water quality a top focus
Water quality is a top focus for Jones’ campaign. The former University of Iowa research scientist said Iowa needs to do more to reduce agricultural pollution and protect its drinking water, along with reducing cancer rates.
