LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Six years after tragedy struck the South Plains, area first responders say drivers continue to ignore the “slow down, move over” law.
In January of 2020, Lubbock firefighters Matt Dawson and Eric Hill, along with Lubbock police officer Nicholas Reyna, responded to a crash along I-27.
As they were working the scene, a car crashed into them. Hill and Reyna were killed in the collision. Dawson was seriously injured and later died in 2023…
