Irondequoit, N.Y. — A new playground designed for children of all abilities is coming to Irondequoit.
Town officials broke ground Friday on the 7,000-square-foot “Backyard” Play Area at the Town Hall campus.
The fenced-in playground will feature ramps, climbing structures, sensory panels and what officials say will be the only fully accessible 12-foot tower of its kind in New York state. Rubber surfacing throughout will provide a smooth surface for children using mobility devices…
