Bellingham Police say officers responded Thursday morning to Unity Care on Unity Street after reports of a patient threatening people in the lobby with a machete. Investigators say the 62-year-old woman pulled the weapon from her bag and swung it at an employee, cutting a gash in the victim’s sweater.
