OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Construction is underway on a new 1.6-mile corridor in Osceola County that is intended to better connect St. Cloud and Kissimmee while easing traffic near the Tohoqua neighborhood.
The Cross Prairie Parkway Connector will extend one of Tohoqua’s main roads, Cross Prairie Parkway, and provide a direct link between Nolte Road and the neighborhood. Osceola County said current congestion in the area causes “significant travel delays and public safety concerns,” and the focus of the project is easing the congestion for drivers and first responders.
The extension is expected to be completed by summer 2028…
