On Saturday morning, Lady Vols basketball took to Food City Center to hold an open scrimmage against the male practice players and LVFL Nya Robertson. The result of the event was a 109-79 win for the Lady Vols.
It is worth noting that forward Fatmata Janneh was unable to play in the scrimmage. She was in attendance with a boot on her left foot after turning an ankle in practice. It is not believed to be serious. Avery Mills also did not play due to her ACL injury suffered previously this offseason.
Kaylene Smikle led the way for the Lady Vols, scoring 30 points on 14-for-21 shooting from the field and 1-for-5 from range. Next was Rylie Theuerkauf, who notched 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and 1-for-4 from three. Jada Eads also got in double figures with 10 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the floor…
