A masked bike thief wearing identifiable clothing is being sought by Lakewood police after allegedly snatching a bicycle right off a homeowner’s front porch near Colfax and Eaton. The theft happened on October 2, and investigators are now turning to the public for help putting a name to the face they can’t quite see.
Clothing May Help Identify Suspect
According to the Lakewood Police Department, the suspect’s face was covered during the theft, but identifiable clothing may help witnesses recognize the person. Neighbors or witnesses who saw the suspect around the time of the incident may be able to help identify them.
The bike was reportedly lifted straight from the front porch of a home in the Colfax and Eaton area, a reminder that even a quick trip inside can leave a bike vulnerable to a passerby with sticky fingers. The post from the department does not specify what kind of bike was taken or its value, details that remain unknown for now.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is encouraged to come forward. No arrest, recovery, or further update on the investigation has been announced since the appeal went out…
